Aaah...Acronyms!
What does it all mean?
HTML — short for Hypertext Markup Language, is the predominant programming language for web pages.
XHTML — The Extensible HyperText Markup Language is a markup language that has the same depth of expression as HTML, but also conforms to XML syntax.
XML — a very flexible, general-purpose markup language. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the sharing of structured data across different information systems, particularly via the Internet.
CSS — Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language most commonly used to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML.
DHTML — Dynamic HTML is a collection of technologies used together to create interactive and animated web sites.
URL — Uniform Resource Locator is your address on the web (ie. http://www.kerricummins.com)
SEO — Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site.
